The fastest way to reach me is email:

tradepaperwork@docsanddeadlines.com

I read everything. I reply to most things within a few days, though it can take longer during busy weeks.

What I'd especially like to hear about

Corrections. If a fee, a wait period, a form number, an office address, or a board rule in one of these guides is out of date, please tell me — ideally with what the board or vendor actually told you. State licensing rules change on legislative sessions and board meeting calendars, and the people filing applications this month find those changes long before I re-check an article. Corrections get applied and the article's "updated" date is bumped.

What happened to your file. If your application came back, your hours were counted differently than you expected, or a state accepted something another state refused, that is the most useful mail I get. It tells me which rule to go and read next. I don't publish names, employers, or identifying details.

Gaps. If you went looking for a straight answer about trade licensing paperwork — hours, affidavits, exams, reciprocity, renewals, cards, eligibility — and could not find one anywhere, that is exactly the kind of thing worth writing up.

What I can't help with

  • Your specific application. I can't tell you whether your board will accept your hours, approve your affidavit, or waive a requirement. Only that board can, and their answer is the only one that counts. I'll happily point you at the rule and the office that decides.
  • Legal advice, including anything involving a criminal record, a training contract, a debt a former employer claims, or a licensing denial you want to appeal. That needs an attorney licensed in your state.
  • Medical questions, including DOT certification and drug testing outcomes.
  • Filing, preparing, or reviewing documents on your behalf. This site is a reference, not a service, and it does not sell courses, exam prep, or application help.
  • Requests to publish sponsored posts, paid guest articles, or link insertions. Training providers and license-prep companies: the answer is no, and it will stay no.
